Air Compression Process
Intake Phase:
External air enters through the top intake port, where the short-stroke crankshaft drives the orbiting scroll plate. This plate rotates counterclockwise eccentrically around the center of the fixed scroll plate, forming a continuous air intake chamber.
Compression Phase:
During the rotation, the volume of the air chamber gradually decreases. The gas is progressively compressed without pulsation and is eventually pushed into the central high-pressure area.
Exhaust Phase:
The compressed air is discharged through the central exhaust port. An integrated check valve prevents backflow, ensuring stable operation.
Advantages
High Efficiency and Energy Saving:
The scroll compressor uses scroll compression technology, in which the relative motion of the orbiting and fixed scroll plates creates a continuous change in enclosed volume to compress the air. This design minimizes energy loss, enhances efficiency, and reduces energy consumption for the same compression task.
Low Noise and Low Vibration:
Due to its structural design, the scroll compressor has fewer moving parts and operates smoothly, resulting in lower noise and vibration. This improves the working environment, reduces the impact on the surrounding area, and extends the equipment’s service life.
Simple Structure and Easy Maintenance:
The scroll compressor has a relatively simple structure with fewer components. Maintenance mainly involves checking and replacing a few parts such as the air filter. This allows for longer maintenance intervals and significantly reduces maintenance time and costs.
Excellent Environmental Performance:
Scroll compressors operate without lubricating oil, avoiding oil contamination of the equipment and products. Additionally, their exhaust emissions are free from oil mist or other pollutants, supporting environmental protection efforts.
Applications of Scroll Compressors
The versatility of scroll compressors makes them indispensable in various industries. Key application areas include:
Manufacturing:
Widely used in manufacturing plants to supply compressed air for pneumatic tools, automation systems, and other processes.
Food and Beverage Industry:
Due to their oil-free operation and ability to deliver clean, uncontaminated air, scroll compressors help ensure product quality and safety.
Transportation:
Their compact size and efficient performance make scroll compressors ideal for transportation systems such as railways, where compressed air is required for braking systems, door operations, and air suspension systems.
